From Vision to Reality: A Custom Handcrafted Floor Lamp for Our Client in the USA

Every once in a while, a client comes to us with a vision so clear and personal that it inspires us to do our best work. This is one of those stories.

The Request

A homeowner in the United States reached out to LumoTrot with a simple but powerful brief: they wanted a floor lamp that felt like a sculpture — something that no one else would have. They loved the warmth of natural wood and wanted a piece that could anchor their living room without overwhelming it.

The Design

After several conversations about their space, style, and preferences, we proposed a hand-twisted solid wood base with a soft cream drum shade. The twisting form was inspired by organic movement — like branches growing toward light.

Each twist was shaped and sanded by hand, revealing the natural grain of the wood. No two pieces are ever exactly alike.

The Result

The finished lamp stood 150cm tall, with a warm glow that transformed the corner of their living room into a cozy, gallery-like space. The client's words: "It's exactly what I imagined — but better."
